Iris by TASCA wins the Archiproducts Design Awards 2025 A celebration of global design excellence
TASCA’s Iris sink series has received the 2025 ADA (Archiproducts Design Awards), a recognition celebrating the pinnacle of design excellence worldwide. The ADA awards products that embody the global cutting edge in originality, research and design innovation.
Designed and manufactured entirely by Fratelli TASCA Srl, Iris is an industrially produced sink that stands out as a masterpiece of craftsmanship and innovation: its 20 mm high rim, which allows for “overtop” installation, and its integrated circular overflow showcase TASCA’s dedication to functional beauty and meticulous design.
Iris’s uniqueness, already recognized by the European Design Patent, has now also been confirmed worldwide by the ADA jury, comprising some of the world’s most respected architects, designers and creative directors, who have crowned Iris a true example of world-class design excellence.

Art and technology meet in Possagno
Italian stainless steel sink manufacturer Fratelli TASCA, based in the hometown of master sculptor Antonio Canova, draws inspiration from the creative process of this genius and names its most popular kitchen sink collection after him.
Fratelli TASCA is a company with 50 years of experience in stainless steel processing, specializing in the production of high-end stainless steel sinks for home kitchens. Fratelli TASCA produces up to 10,000 stainless steel sinks per month, thanks to its state-of-the-art machinery and the craftsmanship of its artisans.
Fratelli TASCA chose the village of Possagno (Treviso), birthplace of Neoclassical sculptor Antonio Canova, as the site of its factory. Known throughout the world, Canova’s works are the result of a lengthy preparatory process involving models in paper, clay and plaster, later translated into marble using a hand drill, chisel and special tools created by the sculptor himself.
Soft forms, flowing drapery and dynamic interweavings emerged from the cold block of marble, polished and honed by the master's hand.
Fratelli TASCA celebrates the incomparable artistry of Antonio Canova and the tradition of local craftsmanship by naming its collection of stainless steel sinks with a 12 mm internal radius after the illustrious sculptor born in Possagno. The Canova series is one of the symbols of the TASCA Made in Italy brand, thanks to its clean, harmonious lines and minimalist, elegant style, which echoes Neoclassical works. The consistent 1 mm thickness and uniform Scotch-Brite finish on a matte base give these sinks a solid appearance without compromising their elegance. No detail is left to chance: every aspect of the sink, from the width of the perimeter edges to the slope of the bowl base, has been designed to create a balanced, efficient product.
The connection with the great artist goes beyond the names, extending throughout the entire production process, from technical drawings to polishing, in keeping with Italian artisan tradition.
Every TASCA sink is made in Possagno and is the result of a carefully planned process involving more than twenty different operations, carried out using the most modern machinery and monitored by the watchful eye of a specialist team. State-of-the-art machinery and robotic welding areas help shorten production times, leaving more time for the factory’s most important “engine”: the human hand.
Like Canova’s block of marble after the initial rough shaping, the welded bowl undergoes several finishing processes using tools made in the factory workshop; the welds are polished both by hand and automatically, and the edges are specially ground.
It is said that Canova would sometimes go to his studio at night to inspect his works by oil lamp. Night, with its play of light and shadow, was a ruthless judge of his statues, revealing the slightest imperfection. In the same way, every TASCA sink is hand-cleaned and inspected by lamplight to detect any visible flaws before leaving the TASCA factory in Possagno to bring true Made in Italy to the world.
